The Government name of this vehicle as seen by the plaque on the side is the - Weapons of Mass Destruction, Unified Command Suite or WMD UCS for short. I personally have never seen another on the road or owned by a civilian. It was built by custom coach manufacture Wolf Coach from Auburn Massachusetts.
I purchased this vehicle from a dealership that received it from the Government and they were going to wrap it and use it as an ad billboard. I purchased it from them and made it into a really tough looking camper for myself and family.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the truck at all except for some cosmetic items like a cracked rear view mirror in the side cluster and some scratches on the body. The truck drives and starts great as does the generator, I was told this specific truck served in the Boston Bombing and in hurricane Katrina and it was always transported via c-130 plane. This truck is not 4x4 but as you can see in the google photos pictures this truck can and will work in some amazingly snowy and offroad remote places.
I have photos and videos at the bottom of this blurb. The short story is I wanted an earthroamer but didnt want to spend so much on one so I decided to make this into something similar. I never got around to traveling with it and it mainly sat on our farm and we used it around the property for its generator and camping out. It was mainly for myself to go on adventures with and carrying my gear such as my dirt bikes, fishing gear, canoes, kayaks etc.. The rear cabin was for storage and kitchen setup and the middle cabin was the living space.
Upon purchase I had a oil change, tire alignment and the generator serviced. The truck operates flawless.
I purchased rim simulators and sent them to be professionally powder coated. All four rims are done and look great.
Nearly every bit of stainless steel on the exterior was removed and rhino lined including the front large lower bumper, the rear step bar, the left and right rear view mirror stalk and clusters, the ladder, the large square satellite folding/landing, custom RVS camera mounts and all the handles/pulls on the exterior.
The interior was gutted from the government and I hired someone familiar with these units as well as Ambulances and Firetrucks to up-fit this unit to my liking. He re-installed all the sirens, the lights and the electrical and installed all new rack mounted gear which looks and functions amazing.
All interior storage cabinets and doors are lockable with key
The couch is a custom modular unit that fits perfect and can be rearranged or removed. The rear back folds down to allow pass through from the middle of the cabin to the rear. You can fully walk from the drivers bay to the middle cabin to the rear.
When my son, wife and I camped out I slept on the couch and my wife had a blowup mattress next to us. A small rear blow up could be laid down in the rear / back cabin. When the one side of the couch back is laid down you can fully pass through the whole truck from front to back while controlling all features including the generator and cameras.
Every creature comfort was met from air conditioning/heat to Tvs, built in computer,  wifi, fridge, coffee machine, induction cooktop portable toilet, rinse shower and more.
The front storage door we turned into the kitchen with a fridge, microwave and water dispenser.
All electronics shown and in description work and will convey with truck.
Please take a look at the control panel of the truck, it has so many options and variables. It has front and rear cabin HVAC air/heat and fan as well as driver cab creature comforts.
The power for the truck can be via the on board generator, solar, battery power or plug in shore power via the back of the truck.
The roof of the truck is diamond plated and houses the portable solar array seen in the picture. That solar array powers two portable lithium battery units in total 700 watts. There are also 3 very large, sliding cargo rails that could be used to carry and tie down anything you wish. I used these for my Tv and wifi antennae as well as my solar housing when parked. An awning could also be attached to this via the side. I carried a huge amount of lumber home one day on the roof.
All doors to truck are lockable as well as all outdoor storage and generator doors lock. I have 2 sets of keys for everything. The hitch also has a lock as well as most of the interior cabinets and doors are lockable on the inside. There is a large gate that can be installed that separates the cabin from the driver area if you wish.
The generator can be turned on via the rear or from inside the cabin. I just had the generator and truck serviced last year. The generator has 4,783 hours on it and is diesel and typically fires up in less than 5 seconds. It shares the same diesel fuel the truck uses in the massive gas tanks.
Starting with the front of the truck we have the Rhino lined bumper with the 2 rigid brand installed fog lights. 2 tow bars which can accept the rear massive hitch.
Dynamax siren sits in the center which can blast your voice from the drivers bay microphone or blast up to 15 police sirens and sounds which are deafening. I have a video showcasing this in the google photos link.
2 whelen multi color flashing strobes mounted to the grill with custom projector lamps and custom orange turn signals.
On the bumper is also a plus and minus hookup for battery which was used when they had the WARN winch installed or for anything battery powered when front hitch is moved from rear.  Winch NOT included.
Five smoked out light covers are on the roof as well as a 50 inch Rough country light bar with cover, controlled by switch inside cabin.
Full Top of Line RVS Systems Quad cameras mounted on front sides and rear and sent to monitor inside cabin. Monitor can display all 4 at once or each individual. The mounts were custom made and blacked out for this rig. The cameras make driving this a breeze when backing up, receiving cargo or a hitch and when driving on highway using to show left and right lanes. We kept on while camping in a parking lot one night to see what was happening outside as you can see the monitor from the couch as well as move the camera to the cabin.
2 antennas are found on the left and ride side of the truck on custom mounts. One is for the ham radio, walkies and the home patrol 2 scanner and the other is for the Uniden CB SSD Radio.
Whelen lights are throughout the sides front and rear of the truck and are turned on from the middle of the cabin. These lights are ultra bright and fully light up 360 degrees of the truck when on.
Deep Underbelly storage is located on both sides of the truck. The left belly storage has a pull out slider that was used to hold 4 more batteries, we removed and planned on making that an outdoor kitchen with griddle or to put in more batteries for an array when off grid.
On the rear is a rhino lined ladder and rear bumper
A red and blue whelen lens outfits the left and right flashing strobe powered by a whelen strobe power supply in the rear cabin,  controlled in the drivers bay. Detailed videos on this.
Inside the middle cabin is a folding jump seat on the wall and access to the drivers bay with locking jail gate to limit access if needed. The  lockable storage door behind driver seat opens to a mini fridge, microwave and brita water unit. The control panel is meticulously wired and controls all features of the truck.
A Uniden Bearcat 980SSB is mounted inside and attached to the outside antenna as well as 2 Baofeng Ham radios and the Uniden Home patrol 2 scanner attached to the other antennae.
One Acer monitor is connected to a custom wifi gaming computer housed in the rack. On the other side is a RCA RV Tv that can be powered via DC or AC. We used the roku when near wifi and the dish antenna to power that tv when off grid
Nave point Rack cabinets and blanks are throughout and there is a modular couch with folding back rest that allows access to the door to pass through to the rear.
In the rack mount is also a ADJ Pc100a power strip and hard wired ac outlets throughout that are controlled via the generator or shore power input. Every bit of technology and power is controlled and monitored from the massive breaker control panel.
There is a drop down tv inside the cabin on the ceiling which I was planning to tie into the camera system but it is now used as another tv via RCA and acts as a center light for the interior.  There are also 5 mini 180 degree rotating LED lights on the ceiling with dimmer in the middle cabin.
Under the TV is a wall mounted Ipad stand with Ipad air
there is a carbon monoxide unit in the truck as well as 3 fire extinguishers in each bay. There is an emergency power kill switch that works as well.
There is one HVAC unit in this cabin and one in the rear both hot and cold controlled by the top area of the main control panel
In between both outside doors is a control panel that opens up, we put a tv here and would watch TV while outside camping. It also has a pass through to the inside of the cabin.
Under that is outside deep storage, we kept recovery and safety gear in here including the VIAir 400p heavy duty air unit
The rear walk in cabin is mainly storage and where we setup our inside kitchen and carry large cargo like motorcycles, toys, kayaks, luggage, climbing and fishing gear etc..
The cooktop is a duxtop induction cooking unit we kept in one of the 7 locked cabinets in the rack.
Inside the rack is an access door that houses the two solar power stations we used. A yeti 400+ lithium and a Rockpals PPS 300 which can be plugged in to recharge or recharged via the solar on the roof.
The toilet is kept in the rear and was a camco 5.3 gallon with flush. The shower is a Rinse kit plus system with large expanding pop up tent we would set up. We also use a luggable loo in conjunction with the Camco. We also carry a large aquatainer that held 6.5 gallons of water. Between that the brita and the rinse kit that was our water system and shower, the toilet was the camco and loo and we had the stovetop, fridge and microwave. We have 2 new water filters new in box that would attach to camp ground water supply to filter out the water through the filter before it entered our gear. We also have a full camping kitchen set and gear.
The solar arrangement is a Suaoki portable solar charger with 9 panels that would power the yeti. The 2 smaller panels powered the left and right battery banks while parked and the large portable renogy 200 watt with controller and suitcase, was a spare and was never used or needed, that is brand new un-used.
The carpet on the walls and ceiling acted as a dampener for the sound and also for their high tech equipment when in service.
I have many of the cables and equipment from the government build including a exeltech mx1000 x 4 card with control card inverter system, raritan crown 2 F series marine converter and the breaker box for both of those. I removed them as i preferred solar and they are very, very heavy.
On back of truck: 4 external power inlets 120 V 50 A 12V and Ground 120 Volt standard outlets
I have the original tire cover from the government, that tire cover and door opens to house the massive 12.5k quiet onan generator
The strobe that flashes the red/blue is very bright and I used it once in a charity run while parked at the hospital. I also used it at the house once and all lighting works great. The scene lights that are white when all are on are amazingly bright.
When the 50 inch flood light bar and rigids are on its blinding. I also purchased a matching set of the rear whelen lenses and blacked them out for road travel (red and blue lenses are frowned upon). There are 4 units of the lenses that come with this truck, 1 red, 1 blue and 2 blacked out.
Recovery equipment we keep in the outside storage compartment and that consists of ARB tire puncture kit, High end VIAair 400p pump kit, recovery bag with misc bits and the large tire jack. The outdoor storage is locked
This truck with its massive generator could also make a cool food truck, security/surveillance vehicle, mobile gaming station, tool or construction vehicle or private security system while parked outside locations for remote security presence or VIP transport. There are tons of ways to monetize this vehicle.
The Defiant A/T makes one heck of a statement when driving around and especially pulling into a car show or RV park. It does not look like anything around and I would venture to guess most have never seen one in person.
This beast has been with us through the pandemic and the riots and I hope it finds a good new home.
I recently moved from Maryland over the line to PA and did not retitle/tag it when the time came and I currently use it as a 'farm ' vehicle so it currently does not have tags but was easy to insure and title and get on road. Once I titled it I put less than 1k miles on it as it was at the up-fitters garage most of the time getting the work done.
I have a clean/clear Maryland title in hand with no lien as I paid cash. In one of the google photo videos I go over how and where it was used on my property. Most of the use was via the trucks generator powering the Mason work being done on our 200 year old bank barn. We since got hard power to the barn so the truck has been sitting with no real use.  I am 6ft 4inches and it is very easy for me to drive in and is very easy to drive. Despite its weight it has solid pickup and stops easily. I have driven this to a couple camp sites when it had tags and it was a great vehicle to operate, the 360 degree cameras make it much more easier to navigate as backing up used to be a bear and needed a person to navigate.
I would happily train and show the new owners upon delivery the inner workings of the truck and look forward to it.
Unless noted all the gear mentioned above does come with the truck. If you have any questions or need further answers or pictures please contact me for a fast answer.
