    Nicely engraved antique stock certificate from Narragansett Mills dating back to the 1920's. This document, which is signed by the company President and the Treasurer, was printed by Geo. E. Bamford of Fall River, Massachusetts and measures approximately 11 3/4" (w) by 7 1/2" (h).

    Historical Context
    Narragansett Mills was located at 1567 N. Main Street in Fall River, Massachusetts.
    The mills were organized in 1871, and the first mill was built in 1872 from red brick in the Italianate style. A. Dorrance Easton served as the company's first president. The complex also includes a detached brick mill office building.
    The site was added to the National Historic Register in 1983. Today, Mill No. 1 has been remodeled and is occupied by medical offices.
