    The company sold only to members of the co-op. They were patterned after the army navy stores in Great Britain. The company was intended to lower the cost of living for members of the military. Company employees would travel to navy ships around the world to take measurements for uniforms and civilian suits then have the clothing waiting for the ship when it pulled into port.
