Ricker Hotel Company and its affairs were under the control of Edward P. Ricker, who with his brother, Hiram Ricker, were of world-wide fame for Poland Springs Water. Under the Ricker Hotel Company ownership and management were Poland Spring Resort, Samoset Hotel in Rockland, Mt. Kineo House on Moosehead Lake and Forrest Hills Ricker in Augusta, Georgia.
