The vehicle is 18 ft long and is at most parks allowed to be in tent sites, as well as in RV sites. It is fantastic for families with kids.
Pop top is a great feature that allows for tons of head room when you are camping, but does not create any additional aerodynamic resistance when you are traveling down the highway.
This van has seat belts for 6 and comfortably sleeps 4. Middle captain chair is removable with a knob screw, for more interior space. Rear bench seat folds out into a large bed. Two people sleep on the "2nd floor".
The van is equipped with a deep-cycle house battery with an isolator system, small refrigerator (which is freezing cold, compressor type, not absorption/propane), 10-gallon fresh water tank under the rear seat, small sink with water pump, StarCool auxiliary Air Conditioner and a ton of storage compartments everywhere you look. Front passenger seat swivels. Shore power hookup, city water hookup.
This is a camper van, not a full blown RV. We like it this way. It does not have: generator, TV, shower, toilet, stove, grey/black water tanks, propane tank, water heater, furnace or awning.
4.8-liter V8 engine, 280 hp. This van gets 16.5 mpg hwy at steady ~73 mph. Power windows and locks, cruise control. Touchscreen radio with navigation, Bluetooth, USB and rear view camera. Trailer hitch.
Fun fact: it is a special order cargo van model that is factory windowed on the passenger side but has no window on the driver's side.
Vehicle has a rebuilt title due to being a theft recovery. No accidents. The only thing that it needed was a set of new locks. Van comes with all new matching door and ignition locks and 2 keys and 2 remotes. I passed the California state inspections already. Tires are only a year old with 98% tread on them.
The van is in excellent condition cosmetically and mechanically. Everything works, it drives smooth with no warning lights. We just came back from a 2,000 mile trip. The van is for sale because I buy, build and sell vans and Chevrolet Express platform is my specialty. I have 4x4 vans, Duramax vans, Duramax 4x4 vans, Roadtreks, high roofs, KUV trucks, ambulances, Duramax shuttle buses. My yard is full of Chevy vans.
Fill the fresh water tank, add your stuff and you are ready to go camping.

Chevrolet Express is a body-on-frame vehicle. Which means the body can be separated from the chassis, and swapped.
We have available a 2019 Chevy Express 2500 6.0 Liter, 6-speed transmission Quigley 4x4 van with 17k miles, was a AT&T fleet van here in San Diego. The body sustained rollover damage and we are not sure if we want to take on fixing it. The chassis is perfect and it runs & drives just fine. What we can offer is to put this Sportsmobile on a 2019 4x4 chassis. We will combine the best of two vans into one. That will include engine, transmission, fuel tank and fuel system, brake lines, master cylinder and ABS, tail lamps and head lamps, grille, bumpers, complete front dash carrier including instrument cluster, radio, HVAC controls, all 2019 model bells & whistles including OnStar, inverter, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and rear view camera mirror, keys with ignition lock and door locks and remotes. All wiring and communications in the van will be 2019, except for harness that goes towards the back (tail lights, rear door lock/unlock and license plate light, which hasn't changed since 2003).
Essentially this will become a 2019 Chevy Express 2500 6.0 4x4 van with a 2003 Sportsmobile body on it. The title will remain unchanged as a 2003 van (this can potentially save a lot of $$$ at the DMV). The van will be fully serviceable at any GM dealer as a 2019 van, all 4x4 conversion parts will remain untouched and available to order just as Quigley built it, and so will the Sportsmobile interior parts.

If you do not need the 4WD capability but still want a modern chassis and better towing power, we have available another 2019 Chevy Express 6.0 Liter, 6-speed drivetrain. We can remove the 2003 4.8 drivetrain and replace it with this drivetrain. That includes engine, transmission, exhaust system, fuel pump assembly + supply system, 3.42 rear axle, brake lines, master cylinder and ABS, complete front dash carrier including instrument cluster, radio, HVAC controls, all 2019 model bells & whistles including OnStar, inverter, and rear view camera mirror, keys with ignition lock and door locks and remotes. All wiring and communications in the van will be 2019, except for harness that goes towards the back (tail lights, rear door lock/unlock and license plate light, which hasn't changed since 2003).
Essentially this will be a 2003 Sportsmobile Chevy Express with all drivetrain and electronic components from a 2019. The title will remain unchanged as a 2003 van (this can potentially save a lot of $$$ at the DMV). The van will be fully serviceable at any GM dealer as a 2019 van. Just arrived, a brand new 2021 6.6 L8T gas engine van with only 1,200 miles on it! Same mod as the 2019 above!
