Description
1950 Vogue Strung, RARE, Transitional brother and sister Dutch boy and Dutch Girl with their complete and original outfits including the wooden clogs. They have evenly-blushed soft pink cheek blush with no scuffs, and pale, peach lips. They have always been together! Their root beer brown eyes can be manually closed, but prefer to stay in the open position. Hers close on their own but need a small tap to her feet to awaken her again. His need to be manually closed and opened. They both retain their original blonde mohair wigs. Her hair is in long braids with bangs, his is in the classic "Dutch Boy cut" with bangs. Both wigs are in excellent, clean condition with no thin spots or problems. Their eyelashes and brows are tan and distinct. Both are appropriately marked "Vogue Doll" on their backs, and "Vogue" on their necks. These are early strung dolls, can stand on their own, hold all poses and have no body seam splits, stains, odors or problems. Her legs appear a tad paler than the rest of her body.
They are dressed in their original, Vogue factory Dutch costumes which close in back with hooks and eyes. The light blue cotton outfits are clean and have been kept out of the light under individual glass domes. To my knowledge they have never been laundered. The only issues I see are that her panties no longer stay up on their own so I have used a clear elastic band to hold them up, and his cap appears ever-so-slightly faded on top. Neither of these flaws shows when they are on display. They each have their original wooden clogs to complete their outfits. This is a charming, and hard to find pair.
